This is a summary from a CMA claim file. Names, addresses and claim details are left out to protect our client. Every claim is different, and past results do not guarantee a future outcome.
October 2019 fire, detached building and contents
Fire destroyed a detached building on the property, along with the equipment and belongings stored in it. With few photos of anything but the burned equipment, we rebuilt the structure estimate from measurements and a roof report, then built and submitted the contents list.
Result: About $82,143 in total: $33,184 in structure replacement cost, $24,459 in personal property replacement cost, and $24,500 received on the claim.
What we do on a Indiana claim
- Inspect every building on the property, not just the house.
- Write our own estimate and compare it line by line with the insurer’s.
- Build and price the contents and equipment inventory.
- Negotiate until the numbers are agreed.
How we get paid
There is no upfront fee. We are paid a percentage of what the claim pays, under a written contract you sign before we start.
