Dawson Springs, KY Public Adjuster: A $96,500 Payment After the December 2021 Tornado
This one was not a fire. The December 2021 tornado destroyed a family’s home in Dawson Springs. The dwelling had been paid at its limit, but parts of the claim were still open when they called Claim Management Adjusters (CMA), and a $96,500 payment followed. Note: Kentucky’s rules for public adjusters have since changed. See what HB 568 changes.

A real Dawson Springs claim we handled
This is a summary from a CMA claim file. Names, addresses and claim details are left out to protect our client. Every claim is different, and past results do not guarantee a future outcome.
December 2021 tornado, home destroyed
The insurer had paid the dwelling at its limit, but the claim did not include debris removal. The family had only listed about $40,000 of belongings because, after losing everything, they could not remember it all, and the contents check had not arrived. The home was demolished. We reviewed the insurer’s estimate and the policy limits, signed on a few weeks after the storm, and worked the open parts of the claim.
Result: A $96,500 check was issued on the claim.
What we do on a Kentucky claim
- Review the insurer’s estimate against every coverage in the policy, including debris removal.
- Rebuild the contents list when the home and records are gone.
- Respond to reservation-of-rights letters and information requests.
- Follow up until the payments are issued.
How we get paid
There is no upfront fee. We are paid a percentage of what the claim pays, under a written contract you sign before we start.
